The service
Meridian publishes selected public datasets and free tools to search and query them. The free service is provided as-is, with no accounts and no fees.
The data
Each dataset carries its own open license (CC0 or public domain today), stated on its page — your use of the data is governed by that license, not by these terms. Sources are credited on every dataset page. The data is republished from official sources on a best-effort basis: we work hard on correctness but make no warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. Verify against the authoritative source before relying on any record for a consequential decision. Found an error? Report it — corrections are published in place.
Acceptable use
Automated access to the public data endpoints is welcome (that's the point) — please be a good citizen: identify your client, honor cache headers, and don't hammer endpoints at rates a human or a reasonable pipeline wouldn't.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meridian and its operator are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service or the data. Paid products, when offered, carry their own terms presented at checkout (processed by Polar as merchant of record).
